Team & collaborators

The team of a project is the people who can access it. From the Team area of a project you list its members, invite a new one by email, accept or decline an invitation you've received, and remove a member who shouldn't have access any more. You can invite someone even if they don't have an account yet — they create one when they accept.

Before you start — Inviting and removing members is available to a project's owner. Anyone can list the team and read their own role.

List your team

  1. Open your project, then Team.
  2. The list shows each member with their Status, Role, Last login, the device used last time, and the date their account was created. The project owner appears with the Owner label.
  3. Use the pagination buttons (Previous / Next) to browse a large team.

Invite a new member

Send an invitation by email to someone who should join the project. You fill in who they are; they only set a password (or accept, if they already have an account) when the invitation arrives.

  1. Open the project, then Team, then click New member.
  2. On Invite a new member, enter the person's Name and First name.
  3. Enter their Email Address — the invitation is sent here.
  4. (Optional) Enter a Phone number. Use the flag and dialing-code picker on

the left of the field to choose the number's country, then type the number.

  1. Choose the member's Country.
  2. Click Add.

The invitation is sent by email. The new member appears in the team list with a pending status until they accept.

Note — The phone is optional; when you provide one it's checked before the invitation is sent, and an invalid number shows This phone number doesn't look valid for the selected country. The number's country and the member's Country are independent — a member in one country can have a number from another.

Note — If the email is already an active member of the project you'll see The member is already active. If an invitation is still pending for that email you'll see An invitation is pending for this member.

Accept an invitation

When someone invites you, what you do depends on whether you already have an account.

If you already have an account

An invitation page lets you review and respond.

  1. Open the invitation — from your dashboard or the link in the invitation email.
  2. On Invitation to Join a Project, review the Project name and the Invitation sent by line.
  3. Click Accept the invitation to join, or Refuse to decline.

If you accept, you're added as a member and the project appears in your project switcher. If you decline, the invitation is closed and disappears.

If you don't have an account yet

The invitation email contains a link to set up your access and join in one step.

  1. Open the link in the invitation email.
  2. On Join (followed by the project name), enter a Password and Confirm password.
  3. Click Join.

Your account is created, you're signed straight in, and the project opens — you join as a member right away.

Important — Use at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a digit and a symbol. Your name and first name are already filled in by whoever invited you; you can change them later from your profile.

Note — The join link is valid for 14 days. After that the page shows This invitation has expired — ask the project owner to invite you again.

Remove a member

Remove someone's access to the project without deleting their OWOXO account.

  1. Open Team and click Delete next to the member's row.
  2. On the Delete a member confirmation page, review the member's name,

email and role, then click Delete this member.

The member is removed immediately and loses access to the project.

Important — Removing a member is permanent. Make sure they no longer need access before confirming — re-adding them requires sending a fresh invitation.
